CrossFit is a core and conditioning program. The movements you’ll train in CrossFit are those that are fundamental and required in everyday life; functional movements. Functional movements are critical to improving quality of life and overall athletic performance. On day one, you’ll become an athlete. You’ll start training, intensely. The intensity will be relative and varied, for each person, as will the training itself.
Most of the CrossFit community isn’t training to be a competitive athlete, they’re training to improve their quality of life, their enjoyment of daily and/or leisure activities, their ability to complete basic daily tasks, etc. Most of all, we take CrossFit because it’s fun, hard, inspirational, and life changing. It not only changes our lives, but the lives of the people around us, in our community, and at home.
